A Husband and Wife Learning Team

Anne and Will are one of many couples who have learned French at La Ferme. They didn't actually take their course together because they were at different levels. Will was a very good intermediate, while Anne was less advanced. (If they had both been at the same level, they could have taken their course together and saved a bit on the tuition.) During their two weeks here they each had two hours per day of coursework, and took turns taking care of the kids, who came along for the fun.

Both are highly motivated to improve their French. Will works with an international organization in Paris, where many people in his office speak French as their mother tongue. Anne has to deal with the multiple activities of a Parisian housewife, mostly in French, and also planned to enroll in a French university coursel.

Will was fairly fluent when he started, and while he was here he picked up a lot of new, active vocabulary, which will enable himself to express himself with more precision in committee meetings. He was also able to eliminate a number of habitual grammatical errors, and thus increase his self confidence while speaking French.
Anne made great progress, zooming upwards from a learning plateau which she was more than happy to leave. She now expresses herself readily (though not yet perfectly) and should be able to understand most of her lectures at the Sorbonne this Fall.

And since they were here in August, they also profited from a lot of great beach time with the kids.

Why not follow Anne and Will's example? Come to La Ferme with a spouse or a friend. You'll save money on your lodging costs, and, if you're at the same level in French, on your tuition as well.
